Vengu: Military operations continue around the clock, Juba Road is now passable

TIRANA, Jan 10 /ATA/ The military personnel have supported emergency operations throughout the night across multiple regions to restore full stability after the severe flooding caused by bad weather.

According to the Minister of Defense, Pirro Vengu, the military service personnel has been deployed to the areas of Lezhë, Mirditë, Selenicë, Novoselë, Ferras, and Durrës, where intensive efforts have made it possible to drain floodwater from a significant number of residential properties and roadways.

In the early morning, the road in the Juba area was completely cleared, restoring access for residents and emergency services. Operations will continue around the clock until the situation is fully under control and the safety of citizens is guaranteed.

The Armed Forces, in cooperation with other state structures, remain on the ground and fully prepared to respond to any need, Vengu emphasized.
