TIRANA, December 20/ATA/ The team of doctors at the University Hospital of Trauma performed a successful surgical intervention on a 23-year-old patient after a car accident.
Ministry of Health and Social Welfare reported that thanks to the quick response and professionalism of the medical team, it was managed to avoid complications that the patient might face.
According to the ministry report, the doctors performed an open reduction with fixation with fiber tape according to the most advanced contemporary methods, i.e. surgery to repair some types of broken bones. And they also managed to avoid the potential complications and compression of the large blood vessels that emerge from the heart.
Prof. Dr. Vilson Ruci, Head of the University Orthopedics Service, appreciated this surgical intervention as very complicated, which was successfully performed and the patient will get well and will be back to normal life in less than two months.
The Ministry of Health and Social Affairs expressed its gratitude to the team of doctors at the Trauma Hospital.
