SKOPJE, Nov 29 /ATA/ – On Friday, in Gara, Kërçovë, the statue of Skanderbeg—an enduring symbol of freedom, resilience, and national pride—was unveiled on National Flag Day.
BDI leader Ali Ahmeti highlighted that this meaningful moment coincides with the day our hearts beat strongest for the red and black, serving as a reminder of the sacrifices that have brought us to this point.
During the day, tributes were also held at the Albanian Mother monument in Zajaz, which symbolizes the dedication, sacrifice, and boundless love that has preserved family and nation through the ages.
“This dual tribute, to the hero and to the mother, reminds us that our freedom and identity are a shared legacy of the men and women who gave everything for our future,” Ahmeti stated.
