TIRANA, Nov 28 /ATA/ – Parliament Speaker Niko Peleshi on Friday congratulated Albanians on Independence Day, calling the anniversary an occasion to reflect on the country’s founding legacy and to reaffirm the commitment to a European, prosperous Albania.
“From the pages that write our history to the day that unites us all,” Peleshi said. “The founding documents of the Albanian state remain our historical compass, reminding us that our freedom and statehood began with the very pages that shaped Albania. They mark our most significant moments of identity and our ambition for a free, sovereign and European nation.”
Peleshi paid tribute to the Founding Fathers “for the state-building path they laid with vision and courage.”
To mark the day, the Speaker released a symbolic video featuring the book Founding Acts of the Albanian State 1912-1922, highlighting key moments of state formation and the enduring importance of historical documents as a guide for new generations.
