Rama: “Mountain Package” an opportunity to revive ancestral lands with agrotourism projects

TIRANA, November 16 /ATA/ During his “Flasim” (Let’s Talk) podcast today, Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke about the impact of the “Mountain Package” and the transformation that this initiative will bring to mountainous areas through agri-tourism and the revival of family properties.

Rama emphasized that the interest in this package is high, precisely because it offers residents of remote areas the opportunity to invest in inherited land and housing.

He underlined that the development of agri-tourism has proved to be a success story, especially for young people who decide to stay in their native areas.

The prime minister emphasized that the “Mountain Package” envisages concrete support for the first 500 beneficiaries who receive permits, offering significant fiscal incentives.

“The government offers support for the first 500 who will receive permits: 10 years without any taxes, zero. They have to pay only the social and health insurance”, he said.

According to Rama, this policy aims to create a sustainable model of economic and social development in mountainous areas, by transforming abandoned properties into new job and income opportunities for the local families and the community. /r.e/p.s./
