TIRANA, November 10/ATA/ The representatives of the Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA) and the International Labor Organization (ILO) have signed today a cooperation agreement to institutionalize the SCORE program, an initiative that aims to increase productivity, competitiveness and implementation of responsible business practices in Albanian enterprises, particularly in the textile and footwear sectors.
Since its introduction in 2023, the SCORE program has supported around 30 enterprises, improving working conditions for more than 3,700 employees. This program has yielded results like the increased cooperation between managers and employees, higher safety and hygiene standards in the workplace, as well as increased productivity through decent work practices (DecentWork).
Under the new agreement, AIDA will lead implementation of the SCORE program at the national level, while the ILO will continue to support it technically and institutionally until 2027.
The cooperation is carried out within the framework of the joint UN project “Business Partnerships and Solutions for SDGs”, funded by the Embassy of Sweden in Albania and implemented by UNDP, ILO, FAO and UNIDO. /e.xh/j.p/p.s./
