TIRANA, Nov 1 /ATA/-The Albanian Coast Guard ship Lissus, operating alongside the Turkish Coast Guard, took part in a search-and-rescue mission in Turkey’s territorial waters.
According to the Naval Forces, the crew of Lissus assisted a small vessel in distress that was carrying migrants aboard.
The operation was conducted in close coordination with Turkish authorities, adhering to international maritime safety and cooperation procedures.
It underscores the Albanian Naval Forces’ continued dedication to humanitarian efforts and their role in enhancing regional maritime security cooperation.
