Two digital classrooms at QSUT Pediatrics keep children engaged in their education

TIRANA, Oct 21 /ATA/ At the Pediatric Specialty Hospital, young patients are able to continue their education without interruption, thanks to two specially established classrooms within the premises of the “Mother Teresa” University Hospital Center.

The Ministry of Health and Social Welfare shared today, through its social media channels, a learning session held in these two digital classrooms, designed specifically for students undergoing medical treatment at the Pediatric Service of QSUT. The dedicated work of the teaching staff is already yielding concrete and measurable results.

“The children do not fall behind in their studies but continue learning, completing assignments, and following the curriculum just like their peers in school. An initiative that brings smiles, knowledge, and hope to our little ones,” reads the post by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.

For the first time, the hospital infrastructure also includes dedicated spaces for assisted schooling, designed for children who spend extended periods of time in the hospital.

These two classrooms are equipped with the latest digital technology and essential teaching tools, following the model introduced by the Israeli SASA Setton Foundation.

Through a dedicated team of teachers, the two classrooms — one multidisciplinary and the other an art studio — provide hospitalized children with educational instruction as well as complementary curricula that support their emotional well-being according to their age group.

The project serves as a meaningful example of cooperation between the healthcare and education sectors, supporting every child’s fundamental right to an equal, inclusive, and continuous education, irrespective of their circumstances.
