TIRANA, Oct 20 /ATA/ Since September, citizens have had access to the “Track Your Document” service, enabling them to follow in real time the status of their identification documents — from application to collection, anywhere and at any time.
With a unique application code, users can check online whether their document has been accepted, is being produced, or is ready for pickup at application centers or at the Local Directorates of the State Police.
Minister of Interior Albana Koçiu on Monday shared feedback from citizens who can now conveniently track the status of their biometric documents.
One of the citizens expressed appreciation for the service.
“I applied for my passport in Kamza and received a message to track it. Based on that message, I confirmed that the passport was ready, went to the directorate to collect it, and thanks to this service, I saved time by not having to go there two or three times,” he said.
Minister Koçiu further emphasized that “with the ‘Track Your Document’ service, all you need is the unique code to check whether your document has been accepted, is in production, or is ready for pickup.”
The service is designed to provide instant updates, ensure timely receipt of documents, and streamline procedures, all while boosting transparency and confidence in the process.
