Training for 60 leaders of teaching assistant professional networks

TIRANA, Oct 20 /ATA/ The National Agency for Pre-University Education, in partnership with Special Olympics, conducted a training with teaching assistants, who provide hands-on and tailored support, helping each child fully develop their potential.

The focus of this training was on educational and sports activities, as well as practices that strengthen inclusive education by developing the skills of students with special needs.

The Minister of Education, Mirela Kumbaro, stated in a social media post that “this training, which began with 60 leaders of professional networks of teaching assistants, will be extended nationwide, as part of the effort to further consolidate inclusive education.”

In pre-university schools, there are over 2,100 teachers dedicated to children with special needs. The increase in the number of teaching assistants in schools has also made it possible to increase parents’ trust in entrusting their children to the educational process.
