TIRANA, October 17 /ATA/ Veterans of the Kosovo Liberation Army gathered in the central square of Tirana to participate in the protest in support of the former leaders of this army who are being tried in The Hague. They lined up in front of the statue of Skanderbeg just before the beginning of the protest as an expression of respect for our national hero.
Organized as former soldiers, wearing KLA uniforms, they stood by the statue while other citizens joined in the square.
The protest in support of the former leaders of the KLA in Tirana comes after two such protests, in Prishtina and The Hague and brings together citizens from all over Albania.
Since April 3, 2023, there is going on the trial of former president Hashim Thaçi, former speakers of Parliament Kadri Veseli and Jakup Krasniqi, and former MP Rexhep Selimi, accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity. /p.s./
