TIRANA, Sept 18 /ATA/ – Saudi Arabia’s National Day was celebrated Thursday evening in Tirana with an official reception hosted by the Saudi Embassy in the Albanian capital.
The event was attended by senior Albanian political figures, including President Bajram Begaj, members of the diplomatic corps, business representatives and media.
In his remarks, Saudi Ambassador to Albania Faisal Ghazi Hifzi praised the increasingly close relations between the two countries.
This year’s celebration coincides with Saudi Arabia’s Cultural Week in Tirana, running Sept. 16–20, featuring a series of artistic and cultural events. An art and culture fair at the Palace of Congresses aims to bring Saudi heritage and values closer to Albanians.
The activities highlight cultural exchanges between Saudi and Albanian art, showing how traditions connect and reflect shared identities. Large numbers of visitors have explored Saudi Arabia’s rich history, art and modern vision for the future.
The festivities underline the deepening of bilateral cooperation in culture, economy, education and literature, and reaffirm both countries’ commitment to expanding their relationship.
