PM Rama vows to address “emergency” in Tirana Municipality

TIRANA, Sept 11 /ATA- By Maela Marini/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama said Thursday that the ruling Socialist Party (SP) will take immediate action to address what he called an “emergency” situation in the Municipality of Tirana.

Speaking at the opening of a SP Assembly meeting, the government head acknowledged the urgency of the matter, referring to what he described as a publicly known situation.

“We will have to immediately address the emergency that has emerged in the Municipality of Tirana for a reason that is well known: it can no longer be sustained,” Rama said, without elaborating.

However, he stressed that the ruling Socialists have never interfered in the substance of judicial matters.

“We have never, under any circumstances, involved ourselves in the merits of a judicial case, especially when the justice system has yet to give its final word,” he added.
