TIRANA, Aug 9 /ATA/ The 2025 National Investment Scheme has created new opportunities for entrepreneurs in the agrotourism sector.
The Agency for Agricultural and Rural Development announces that this government initiative, open for applications until September 30, 2025, offers an integrated financial support package, including grants covering up to 50% of the investment value, as well as soft loans with low-interest rates.
The Agency for Agricultural and Rural Development (AZHBR) announces that investments in agrotourism offer a benefit equal to 50% of the total value of tax invoices, up to a maximum of 15,000,000 lekë (fifteen million) per applicant.
According to AZHBR, farmers and businesses can apply for grants covering up to 50% of expenses related to the construction and development of agro-processing, creating new opportunities to increase the value of their products, stimulate employment, and generate growing income for family and local economies.
An additional key factor boosting agrotourism development is the recently launched government initiative called the “Mountain Package,” which has already attracted 3,300 applications shortly after its launch.
This will help farmers secure funding for necessary investments to modernize production and increase work efficiency in agriculture and agrotourism.
More than 280 agrotourism businesses operate nationwide, with the country’s natural beauty, agricultural resources, and rich culinary heritage providing strong foundations for the growth of Albania’s agrotourism sector. /e.xh/sm/
