TIRANA, Aug 5 /ATA/ – Albania recruited 810 healthcare professionals between January and June 2025 through its national employment portals “Doctors for Albania” and “Nurses for Albania.”
Minister of Health and Social Protection, Albana Koçiu, announced Tuesday that 643 medical science technicians, 167 doctors, and 8 psychologists were hired during the first six months of the year through the digital platforms.
“Merit-based employment is the strongest guarantee for quality healthcare services and greater public trust in the national health system,” Health Minister said in a social media post.
The two portals, designed to promote transparency and equal opportunity in healthcare hiring, are part of a broader effort to improve service quality by ensuring that qualified professionals contribute directly to patient care.
The recruitment process is structured to uphold the principles of transparency, merit, professionalism, and equity across all levels of public healthcare. It includes open registration, standardized testing, a formal appeals process, and final job placements based on candidates’ cumulative scores throughout the competition phases.
