ZA Fest returns to Rozafa Castle for its 9th edition

TIRANA, July 23 /ATA/ – The 9th edition of ZA Fest, the first modern-day festival dedicated to re-telling the traditions and stories of the Albanian Alps, will return to the northwestern city of Shkodra, bringing three nights of music and art to the iconic Rozafa Castle.

The festival blends modern music with cultural tradition, featuring intimate performances and high-energy shows by prominent regional and international artists, including Armend Rexhepagiqi, Rednex, MC Kresha & Lyrical Son, Casadilego, Petrit Çarkaxhiu, and more.

Founded by artist Vlashent Sata, ZA Fest has become an annual cultural fixture, with previous editions also staged in Shkodra’s museum houses and the Theth valley.

“Are you ready to create unforgettable memories in these nights filled with art, great music, and the warmest audience?” Sata asks in the festival’s promotional video from Rozafa Castle.

Similarly to the previous editions, this year too ZA Fest will resurface part of the Albanian Alps’ oral tradition, “a jewel inherited from our ancestors.”

In the hottest days of the year, the highest crown of Albanian nature will sound music and stories in the shadow of the mountain.  ZA Fest draws attention to this nature’s gem, bringing to the public original music and stories of ancestors, against a backdrop of fabulous landscapes in the midst of traditional Albanian hospitality.
