U.S. Embassy: Stronger cooperation needed to combat human trafficking

TIRANA, July 23 /ATA/ – The final conference of the “Victims’ Rights Have No Price!” project, supported by the U.S. Embassy in Tirana, highlighted the fight against human trafficking –  a global challenge fueled by organized crime and illegal immigration.

Addressing the event on Wednesday, Public Affairs Officer McKenzie Louw, together with project implementer Vatra Psycho-Social Center and partners from the Special Structure Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK), the High Court, and Albanian law enforcement, emphasized the need for collaboration between law enforcement, justice institutions, and communities to take down traffickers and support victims.

U.S. Embassy in Tirana said in a post on the social media that the United States remains committed to combating trafficking, securing borders, and dismantling transnational criminal networks that exploit vulnerable individuals.
