Kumbaro in Himara: More public beaches this year

TIRANA, June 27 /ATA/ Minister of Tourism and Environment Mirela Kumbaro inspected today the beaches along the Ionian coast. There, the municipality of Himara has managed to double the space of the public beaches.

Accompanied by Minister of Interior Ervin Hoxha and Mayor of Himara Vangjel Tavo, Kumbaro met during the inspection an Albanian holidaymaker, who had come with his Italian fiancée, father-in-law and mother-in-law to have a taste of the beaches and beauties of the Albanian coast.

The young man introduced himself as Raul and during the conversation with the two ministers Kumbaro and Hoxha, he expressed his satisfaction that different from previous year, this year there are more public beaches available to holidaymakers.

“There are more public beaches this year. You can spread your towel or sunbed not only on public beaches, but also on private beaches by the sea because it is allowed. No one will stop you,” said Kumbaro.

Minister Kumbaro said that the kind words of holidaymakers, beyond the pleasure, also greatly increase the responsibility for this tourist season.

During the inspection of the beaches of Himara, the minister asked all administrators of private beaches to respect the 2.5-3-meter distance from the seashore as a public space, as well as make a coordination of the efforts between the municipality and the National Coastal Agency for the maintenance and cleaning of the public beaches. /e.i/j.p/p.s./
