TIRANA, June 12 /ATA/ The EU program “EU4Culture” invites you to the “Epidam Night of Heritage and Art,” a cultural heritage event bridging the past and the present.
The first artistic evening since its restoration was held at the Durrës Hamam, a historic building revitalized by EU4Culture. The event was organized by Durrësi Aktiv in cooperation with MuZEH Lab and the Durrës Museum Center, funded by the European Union and implemented by UNOPS in partnership with the Ministry of Economy, Culture, and Innovation.
The event features the Crafts Square, where alongside ceramic artisans, you will also have the opportunity to try working with clay yourself.
Another highlight of the event will be “Halil’s Tales,” a captivating journey combining humor and narratives from the Ottoman chronicles of Evliya Çelebi. At the same time, the Hamam’s distinctive atmosphere will be enlivened by the mesmerizing sounds of the cello.
The performance “Equilibrium” will unite in a single show the Swiss hang, Australian didgeridoo, Albanian drum, longari, Greek bouzouki, and isopoliphony, intricately woven together, while images of old Durrës are projected onto the monumental facade of the Hamam.
The event will take place next Thursday, June 19, and admission will be free for everyone.
