TIRANA, May 26/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama, at the same time chairman of the Socialist Party, stated during a meeting with the winning team of the Socialist Party after the Parliamentary elections of May 11, that the Justice Reform has been the cornerstone of this force’s political journey since 2013 and one of the greatest challenges ever faced.
“In the first mandate, the people gave us the opportunity to open a new path of democratic state-building and, above all, the independence of justice from political power,” stated Rama.
He recalled that at that time the launch of the Justice Reform was not an easy, but rather difficult and even jeopardized the stability of the first government.
Speaking about progress of the socialist government, Rama said that the second mandate faced two serious blows: the devastating earthquake and the global pandemic, which turned governance into a battle for national survival.
“In the end, Albania emerged stronger, and I believe that mandate also strengthened our character,” Rama said.
While the third mandate, was characterized by successes in the international arena.
Regarding the fourth mandate, Rama appreciated it as a “special story,” measured not only by the record number of seats, 83 in total, but also by the historical weight of this responsibility and the challenge to complete the country’s institutional transformation.
“Now, we have the privilege and responsibility to lead the country, to elevate Albania to the level of the EU,” Rama said. /j.p/p.s./
