In her speech, Minister Koçiu highlighted the social protection reform, which began with the review and re-evaluation of the Social Assistance Scheme and the Disability Scheme, expanding the number of beneficiaries.

She noted that economic support for all those families who benefit from the economic assistance scheme was tripled, as well as other financial benefits such as subsidizing electricity bills, tuition fees, and kindergarten fees, all covered by the state.

Regarding people with disabilities, Koçiu said that today 75% of the documents for obtaining financial support have been reduced.

Another program, she continued, is the Baby Bonus policy.

Koçiu stated that the social services network will be expanded with 40 other new services referring to the social services map to offer support to all categories in need. “There are 44 thousand beneficiaries who benefit from the services offered through the Social Fund. We will open 20 social enterprises for the employment of women and girls”, the minister said. /a.f/r.e/p.s./
