TIRANA, April 17/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama stated today that, “What has happened in the last decade is extraordinary and this is so true that Albania is considered a leading country in the region in terms of the digitalization of public services”.
During the speech he delivered at the event “Empowering AI in Digital Public Services in Albania” on modernization of public administration, Rama said that, “We are proud at the path traversed towards a historic transformation based on technology”.
“In every European classification we are ranked above the middle in the standings. If we consider the low level from which we started our climb, it makes this transformation even more spectacular. It is a transformation that certainly bears the name of Head of the National Information Society Agency Linda Karçanaj, who has led the process since the very beginning, when the agency was in fact a phantom agency and when the platform that today provides 95 or more percent of its services directly online, used to provide a symbolic and ridiculous handful of services”.
Rama stated that, “She has managed to create a team that serves the state, but is also a market leader in terms of its professional capacities”.
“On the other hand, without a doubt, in this process I cannot fail to appreciate those that Linda mentioned because this is a costly process and Albania has now begun to create considerable financial capacities in relation to its ambition,” Rama underlined, adding that, 54 electronic sealed services are directly received with just a voice request to the virtual assistant “Diella”. /k.s/a.f/r.e/p.s./
