TIRANA, April 7 /ATA/ The State Election Commissioner, Ilirjan Celibashi, announced on Monday that the ballot papers for the upcoming May 11 elections will arrive in Europe between April 15 and April 22.
Meanwhile, Celibashi informed that in other continents, the ballot papers will arrive between April 15 and April 25.
Celibashi shared a guide on social media regarding the voting procedure for Albanians living abroad, which includes key advice on the steps to follow.
“After receiving it, ensure you send the ballot paper to the CEC within 3 days. There will be no cost to you, as the CEC covers the postage expenses. Do not delay; each day is crucial for your vote to reach on time. Your voice is important,” said Celibashi.
The guide issued by the CEC advises that upon receiving the envelope with the ballot paper, the voter should confirm the receipt of the postal envelope on the PER platform.
The CEC reminds that voters cannot vote for a party or coalition and simultaneously for a candidate from another party or coalition.
The final number of voters abroad is 245,935, while the total number of eligible voters both within the country and abroad is 3,713,761 Albanian citizens. Among them, 114,642 voters will cast the ballot for the first time.
