TIRANA, February 2/ATA / During January, over 100 girls and women underwent free mammography screening in Shkodra. In February, free mammography will be offered to women and girls in Lezha region.
Minister of Health and Social Protection Albana Koçiu highlighted in a post in the social media today the significance of medical screenings for saving lives. She announced that during this month, women and girls in Lezha region can undergo free mammography, without the need for a referral system, at the Regional Hospital.
The minister added that during January, at Shkodra Regional Hospital there were performed over 100 free mammography, offering the opportunity for every woman to undergo this important screening free of charge.
“This month, it is the Lezha region where women and girls can undergo mammography without a referral system, at the regional hospital. During January, over 100 free mammograms were performed at Shkodra Regional Hospital, without referral, giving every woman the opportunity to have the necessary check-up,” Koçiu emphasizes. /a.f/p.s./
