TIRANA, Dec 6 /ATA/ Voluntary insurance offers a great opportunity for emigrants returning to their homeland for vacation to compensate for any missing contribution years, with the goal of securing a higher pension for old age, disability, and family benefits, based on the contributions made.
The General Director of the Social Insurance Institute, Astrit Hado, announces that individuals who are insured for the current year have the right to insure up to the maximum wage limit.
The contribution amount to be paid for voluntary insurance by the interested individual is equal to the amount paid for the pension branch, based on the minimum wage approved by the Council of Ministers during the period when the payment is made.
The monthly quota for voluntary insurance based on the minimum wage is currently 8,640 lek per month. /j.p/sm/
