TIRANA, Nov 5 /ATA/-By Maela Marini/ – Assembly Speaker Elisa Spiropali highlighted importance of the Czech Republic support for Albania’s European integration process on Monday as the country is launching preparations for the third Intergovernmental Conference with the European Union.
In a joint press statement with the visiting Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies in the Parliament of the Czech Republic, Markéta Pekarová Adamová, Spiropali focused on ways to boost high-level political dialogue and expand cooperation between the two countries.
Assembly Speaker also expressed gratitude for Prague’s support for Albania’s European integration process.
“Albania is profoundly grateful to the Czech Republic for its steadfast, enthusiastic and principled support for Albania’s European integration path. I highly praise the reconfirmation of this support, as we embark on a new stage, namely the preparations for the third Intergovernmental Conference and the advancement of accession negotiations on key chapters,” Spiropali stated.
Assembly Speaker underlined that Albania laying the foundations for wider integration within the framework of the EU.
“It is our ambition to join the EU by 2030. This is a goal that reflects the aspirations of our people and the strategic vision of our country,” Spiropali stated.
