TIRANA, November 18 /ATA/ Minister of Health and Social Protection Albana Koçiu told the Assembly this evening that, “The 2025 Health and Social Protection budget is specially designed to support the citizen, the family, the woman and the child more than ever before”.
Koçiu said that, “This is a budget that supports treatment and prevention close to home and that also supports the fight against poverty, social exclusion or unemployment”.
“It is the highest ever budget for the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in the history of the Albanian state. It is about 3 times higher in a decade. For the first time, we will be able to finance 100% and at no cost new programs, such as the fertility program for the young couples”, she emphasized.
“The 2025 budget is estimated to be about 1 billion and 50 million euros. The overcome of the 1-billion-euro limit is an unimaginable achievement if we go back a few years ago,” the minister underlined.
“During the year 2025, we also support 62,000 families living on economic assistance scheme, 91,000 people with disabilities as well as the baby bonus,” she said. /a.f/p.s./
