Pirdeni: We are moving forward with reforms for EU membership

TIRANA, Oct 29 /ATA/ Adea Pirdeni, Minister of State for Public Administration and Anti-Corruption, asserted the government’s commitment to collaborating with the European Commission to meet the EU membership criteria by 2030, calling it a major objective for Albania.

In her remarks at the 18th meeting of the EU-Albania Stabilization and Association Parliamentary Committee, she stated that Albania is on track to achieve its objectives, adding that the opening of the first cluster just a few days ago marked an important milestone.
“This, Pirdeni continued, is testimony of all the efforts our country is making to implement the reforms and serves as a goal to move forward under the oversight of the EU.”

“Albania proudly carries the responsibility of being a catalyst for integration in the region,” she emphasized.

The minister expressed the commitment that the government will continue to work on opening negotiations for the other clusters, and this, as she stated, “will be done in close cooperation with the EU.”
We will progress beyond assumptions by taking steps that strengthen trust in our institutions and make our country a model for the rule of law,” Pirdeni declared.
