TIRANA, Oct 22 /ATA/ Minister of Interior, Ervin Hoxha, stated on Tuesday that the head of the Freedom Party openly defied the court’s ruling after he was informed of it.
In a reaction on social media, Minister Hoxha stated that members of the Mobile Operational Force— a special unit trained and specialized to follow standard protocols as needed, rather than law enforcement officers, who are part of a daily service force were engaged in execution of the court’s decision.
“They unfortunately had to deal with an individual who openly opposed complying with the court’s decision as soon as he was informed of it,” Hoxha stated.
The minister stated that if Meta had not opposed the execution of the decision, the dynamics of the event would have been otherwise, that is a smooth transfer from his private vehicle to the police escort vehicle.
According to him, the State Police carried out their duty yesterday and was compelled to do so using force.
