Parliament set to convene regular session, discuss issues identified by voters

TIRANA, Sept 30 /ATA/ – Albanian parliament will convene for a regular session on Monday afternoon to discuss issues identified by voters across the country. Lawmakers are also preparing to discuss major election reforms, including a proposal to grant voting rights to the diaspora for the first time.

Today’s agenda includes approval of the minutes of the previous plenary session on September 19, 2024.

The session will begin with meetings of parliamentary committees before shifting to a plenary session in the afternoon. One of the key topics on the agenda is the introduction of the diaspora vote ahead of next year’s elections, a reform that could reshape the voting process for millions of Albanians living abroad.

Lawmakers will then engage in a four-hour parliamentary debate.
