Kongoli talks with his readers

TIRANA, August 7/ATA/ The well-known Albanian author Fatos Kongoli was present yesterday at the Bukinist Bookstore to meet his readers.

Kongoli spoke about his literary journey, answering questions from the audience. During the activity, also supported by the National Book and Reading Center, the writer met his readers closely and gave them autographs.

“The meetings with the beloved authors, makes them more attractive and dear events to the readers”, the National Book and Reading Center wrote on its website.

The well-known Albanian writer and member of the Academy of Sciences Fatos Kongoli celebrated his 80th birthday this year. Kongoli has been appreciated by critics as a writer of transition, as he dedicates his entire work to Albania in over 3 decades of democracy.

The works of Fatos Kongoli have attracted the attention and emotions of the Albanian and foreign readers for the traumatizing presentation of the life of the Albanian man in two periods: during the dictatorship and in transition. The individual’s confrontation with the absurdity of life, his internal dramas; penetration into the human psychology with repressed thoughts and feelings; the creation of anti-heroes as an opportunity to descend into the shocking obscurity of the human being, constitute the fundamental creative innovation of his work. /p.s./
