TIRANA, 20 July /ATA/- The Albania’s Interior Minister, Taulant Balla inspected on Saturday the coastal area of Himara – with the State Police and the Italian Police patrolling together to guarantee safety for vacationers.
“It is important to respect the designated corridors and stay away from the security perimeter,” Balla said.
During the summer, Himara attracts a large number of tourists from Italy.
“In Dhërmi and Himara, are available two vessels – to provide assistance but also to patrol the coastline. Also, seven jet skis have been provided to the Marine Unit,” local Police Chief said.
In addition to private beaches, along the coastline of Himara there are also public beaches for local and foreign visitors – with vacationers allowed to set up their tent.
“Police patrols need to carry out continuous checks in night clubs, to monitor and measure the noise level,” minister added. //a.i/
