TIRANA, July 15 /ATA/ Deputies of the Democratic Party, Albana Vokshi and Dhurata Çupi, on Monday presented 6 proposals on behalf of the DP for the package of measures to deal with hot days.
In a media statement, Vokshi proposed shorter working hours in both the public and private sectors, until 13.00 at its most. According to her, sectors such as healthcare, police, army, firefighters and any emergency structure should be excluded.
Also, Vokshi proposed that the chronically ill and pregnant women work from home with reduced hours.
“For sectors working outdoors, such as construction, reduced hours or the complete suspension of work during the hot days of this week should be considered. Closure of public and private nurseries and kindergartens. One of the parents should take care of the children against salary compensation. For pensioners who live alone or People with Disabilities, the Albanian Post should take measures to send home the pension or the disability allowance, without additional financial costs”, she said.
DP demanded the urgent adoption of the above measures, in order to protect the health of citizens and on the other hand to economize the use of electricity./m.m/sm/
