TIRANA, July 8 /ATA/ After a long work of several months, Tirana International Film Festival (TIFF) unveiled the final version of the new visual identity for its 22nd edition.
The poster was conceived and designed by Babak Safari, PhD student in the field of Fine Arts and Art Conservation at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology. The author of the poster has over 13 years of professional experience as an art director and freelance graphic designer collaborating with countries such as USA, Italy, Poland, Germany, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Greece and Great Britain. His works have been displayed or recognized in over 70 biennials, festivals and international exhibitions.
The official poster of TIFF 2024, with the new slogan “it looks simple, remains complex”, combines art and technology in an artistic way. It shows a hand connected to a film camera, symbolizing the fusion of human creativity and new technologies.
Taking inspiration from Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey, the use of red and blue helps balance excitement and confidence: red symbolizes energy and enthusiasm, while blue emanate calm and confidence.
The slogan of the festival, “it seems simple, remains complex”, speaks to the dual nature of the films: they seem straightforward at first glance, but contain intricate layers of messages.
Both the slogan and the visual design remind the audience that the festival’s films are not only visually appealing, but also rich in depth and meaning.
The artistic and conceptual approach of this poster invites viewers to explore the intricate and creative realm of movies. It skillfully conveys the message of the festival and emphasizes the importance of artificial intelligence in the future of film art.
