Rama: Opposition should join Anti-Corruption Commission; we don’t lose focus from work

TIRANA, June 26/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama, at the same time Chairman of the Socialist Party, said today that the Anti-corruption Commission is a space outside the perimeter of the Parliamentary struggle, where the opposition should be a part.

Rama emphasized that the special anti-corruption commission is a space where daily politics, “who am I and who are you” is not made, but where all those who are within this perimeter with a mandate from the Albanian people, should normally be a part.

“We hear them say that they will come to power next year. To come to power next year, you must be the most interested to be at this table. Because if you come to power next year, you will have all this to deal with,” said Rama.

But the prime minister emphasized that, “We have no reason to lose focus from work”.

“With them or without them, we will do this work, because Albania cannot wait for us to get along with them and for them to come and do their duty”, added Rama.

The prime minister emphasized that, “The good thing about this work is that, it will have to be certified by our partners, by the European Union and definitely by the United States of America”.

“So there is no chance that if there are good ideas, we will leave them out, but even if there is no trust in us, there are others who will judge them and definitely certify their ideas. But, the point is that we don’t have big inventions to make, we have things here, more or less established things”, he added. /r.e/p.s./
