TIRANA, October 21 /ATSH/ – Around 90 businesses in the capital were damaged during recent protests, with losses for some shops already reaching 18 million new lekë.
This information was released today by the General Directorate of Taxes to ATA, based on findings by the tax administration—both from on-site assessments and through the “My Damage” portal.
According to the tax authorities, the process of identifying and assessing the damages is ongoing; therefore, the number of the affected entities remains preliminary and may change once the verifications are complete.
“The value of damages for individual businesses has reached 18 million new lekë so far,” the tax administration stated.
The tax administration continues to collect and verify data to more accurately determine the economic impact of the damages reported by businesses in the capital. It also encourages businesses that sustained damage during the protests in the capital to provide details regarding these damages online via the “My Damage” electronic service on the “e-Albania” portal. To report the situation, business entities must complete an electronic form providing relevant information regarding the damage sustained to their premises. The application also requires documentation of the damage—such as photographs and other records—to serve as supporting evidence for the reported situation. /e.xh/j.p/p.s./
