TIRANA, June 26 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama said on Wednesday that Albania is blessed to have the European Union by its side as well as all its state-building experience and knowhow at hand.
The Socialist Party head, in his remarks at the meeting of the Parliamentary Group, focused on the European Integration process, on the Special Commission for Good Governance – Rule of Law – Anticorruption and the continuation of reforms for Albania 2030 in the EU.
Rama said that modernization is a process that is realized step by step, but Albania is fortunate to be in the middle of Europe and have the support and knowhow of the EU at hand in the integration process.
“Modernization is a step-by-step process that requires a complexity of actions and conditions, but our blessing as Albania is that we are a country in the middle of Europe and that the EU transfers all the necessary knowhow to the countries that aspire to join the EU”, said Rama.
“It was a blessing that we have the EU, because with the tradition and history we have and given that for the first time, real state-building reforms are being made, not privatize here and liberalize there reforms, because these are done by everyone , but genuine state-building reforms. Albania has had the EU on its side, but on the other hand, it has not had the knowhow, strength and experience to follow through with it. Today there is, it is this force here. “
