TIRANA, June 12 /ATA/ President of the Republic of Albania, Bajram Begaj, on Wednesday held a meeting in Pristina with William Walker, former ambassador of the OSCE during the war in Kosovo.

Walker is in Kosovo to celebrate with the Albanians the 25th anniversary of the country’s liberation.
President of the Republic thanked Ambassador Walker for the essential role he played during his service in Kosovo, exposing the world to the inhumane massacre of civilians that occurred in Racak on January 15, 1999.
The Head of State expressed gratitude and thanks for this mission of the then head of the OSCE Verification Mission, William Walker, who, after seeing the bodies of the killed Albanians, declared at the time that the atrocities committed at the Racak Massacre fell under crimes against humanity.
