TIRANA, June 5 /ATA/ Deputy Parliament Speaker, Ermonela Felaj Valikaj, and MP Klodiana Spahiu, as members of the Voluntary Group for Population and Development, held a meeting with Leonidas Galeridis, policy and scientific research expert at the European Parliamentary Forum (EPF).
This forum supports the work of parliamentarians in Albania through the Center for Population and Development, ACPD, which was represented at this meeting by Elona Gjebrea, director of this center.
The meeting focused on EPF’s support for the Voluntary Group on Population and Development and the need to assist parliamentarians with comparative statistics and policy examples in the field of reproductive health and demographic issues.
Felaj and Spahiu asserted their readiness to further deepen the cooperation with EPF and the Executive Director of EPF, Neil Datta, whom they invited to visit the Parliament of Albania, as well as the commitment to work more on legislation and policies in the field of issues of population and development.
