TIRANA, May 9/ATA/ Albanian young people gathered last evening in the New Bazaar area on occasion of Europe Day. They attended there the “Europe is for young people” event organized by the Ministry of State for Youth and Children with the support of the Delegation of the European Union in Tirana.
Attending the event, there were Minister of State for Youth and Children Bora Muzhaqi and the EU ambassador in Tirana Silvio Gonzato.
During the event, there were talks on how the EU is supporting Albania to empower its youth through various programs such as “EU for Youth”, “Youth Guarantee” or “EU for Schools”.
Minister Muzhaqi said that this day finds Albania ever closer to EU membership and with unrelenting efforts towards European integration for our children and young people.
“We shared with the young people the many programs that the Albanian government implements with the support of the EU, such as “EU for Schools”, “EU for Culture”, “Youth Guarantee” and “EU for Youth”. The programs focus on investments in youth infrastructure and increasing opportunities and engagement for young people so that they can build their future in European Albania”, emphasized Muzhaqi.
While the EU ambassador Silvio Gonzato said that, “There can be no sustainable development without human rights; they are at the center of the European project. As our societies become more prosperous, we must ensure that no one is left behind and that everyone has its place. We are all equal, but different and that is what makes us strong.”
Under the sounds of music, young people celebrated Europe Day, from Tirana, a more and more European city. /r.e/p.s./
