TIRANA, March 30/ATA/ Minister of Health and Social Protection Albana Koçiu assured today that the government will make more investments so that to create for doctors and all hospital staff contemporary working conditions as well as competitive salaries like in the countries of the European Union.
On the Doctors’ Day, Koçiu expressed her gratitude for the dedication and daily sacrifice of doctors in the service of citizens.
“It is a pleasure to announce that in a few months time we shall increase again the salary of doctors, which aims not only to improve further the quality of the medical service in Albania, but also stimulates the new generation to choose this profession as a branch of study in higher education and serve this country”, said the minister.
Koçiu shared in the social media a video conveying messages from doctors and nurses. They express their commitment to fulfill their mission in the service of citizens.
“This day finds us more motivated, with modern hospital infrastructure and higher salaries and with the highest quality service for the citizens”, said a doctor.
The doctors also appealed to their colleagues to stay in Albania and make a contribution to their country. /m.m/p.s./
