TIRANA, March 22/ATA/ Chairman of the Democratic Party in opposition Lulzim Basha stated today that, “The need for a second March 22 is a necessity that motivates us to bring back the enthusiasm of the beginnings and pushes us for a victory of the DP with all the Albanian people”.
“32 years ago, the Democratic Party of Albania achieved the biggest victory in the history of Albanian pluralism. With the USA by its side and with the need and desire of the people to break away from the past, it managed to become a promoter of change and a mechanism of people’s aspirations”, Basha emphasized in a post in the social media.
Basha wrote that, “Beyond that victory, the greatest achievements of the years of pluralism bear the signature of the Democratic Party. But at the same time, it is worth reflecting on that history, what was not done well, for those that were done badly and for others that should be done differently”.
“So today, the biggest challenge of the Democratic Party of Albania remains the restoration of confidence and hope of the beginnings, where idealism and enthusiasm of those years needs to be rekindled once again. This is our battle and the reason for which we will work and are working every day. The dream of Albanians for Freedom and Democracy remains more current than ever. Only a DP for the people and with the people can make their dream come true”, wrote Basha.
The early elections of March 22, 1992, the second in the country as pluralist elections, gave the DP the biggest victory. /k.s/r.e/p.s./
