Majority-opposition agreement, Basha: They intend to ditch decriminalization law

TIRANA, March 17 /ATA/- The Democratic Party chairman, Lulzim Basha, has reacted in connection with the statement of the Prime Minister Edi Rama, who from the National Assembly of the Democratic Party in Durrës described the allegation about an agreement with “non grata” as gibberish.

In a post on his social media account, Basha said that “it is not an agreement for EU membership, but it is a deal between the useless old persons of the long drawn out transition, who want to hold Albania hostage, maintaining the monopoly of the system, because that is the only way to support each other, playing by the rules of the 35-year-old game.

“Today there is no Albanian who believes the tales of Edi Rama, who one day calls idiots those who accuse him of horse-trading, while the next day he himself formalizes the deal with Sali Berisha, whom, he calls “non grata ” when he is not needed , and a partner for parliamentary life when needed. The deal to protect the spoils of the 2008 constitutional amendments is as clear as crystal, but in addition, together they also want to ditch the decriminalization law, clearing the way for people with criminal records and officials convicted of corruption to run in the next elections. Edi Rama has shown that without cooperation with organized crime, he cannot make it,” Basha said.

The DP head added that “just as both are interested in putting pressure on the new justice, which has promised not to spare anyone, regardless of the hierarchy or high state position.”
