TIRANA, Feb 14 /ATA/ The FAB gallery is set to unveil the exhibition of the young artist Artemisa Çullhaj. The exhibition is curated by Najada Hamza and will be on display from February 15 to February 27, near the Faculty of Fine Arts.
Artemisa and “The Needle” which is the exhibition’s title have their beginnings in the textile atelier. FAB writes on its website that the aesthetic and intellectual premise of the artist, the work done over the years with passion and drive, built an artistic profile with personal creative vocabulary and identity, based on a historical and cultural stratification, as old and profound as life. According to the gallery, the works featured in “The needle” exhibition show the subject in a very elegant format, where love and time merge, lasting as long as an eternity.
Going beyond the format and the medium of the selected works, superimposing the paintings of the great masters on soft canvases cut into the shapes of the human body, is a contemporary act which adds a new element of physical interaction with the work of art.
