TIRANA, February 8 /ATA/ Chairman of the Democratic Party Lulzim Basha stated today that the fight against corruption should also be part of the National Security strategic document.
Speaking to reporters from the blue headquarters, Basha said that corruption is a cancer of society and must be fought, being part of the strategic document of national security, which was voted today in the Assembly.
Basha also accused the MPs of the opposition, part of “Re-foundation Council” and supporters of Gazment Bardhi, who, according to the chairman of the DP, are weakening the role of the opposition for narrow personal interests.
The Parliament approved today the national security strategy. The strategy had to be subject to a political and public debate. It is unforgivable that a NATO country drags itself around with bureaucratic documents”, Basha said to journalists.
Basha also recalled the amendment on Kosovo.
“The amendment to come to the aid of Kosovo is still on the agenda, but today the Parliament rejected an amendment for a permanent contribution to Kosovo. Today’s vote would pave the way for amending the budget to allocate 50 million Euros in military aid to Kosovo”, added Basha./p.s./
