TIRANA, Dec 15 /ATA/ The Ambassador of Germany to Albania, Karl Bergner, on Friday visited the Special Structure for the Fight against Corruption (SPAK), where he had a meeting with the chief prosecutor of SPAK, Altin Dumani.
Bergner said that he supports the work of SPAK and expressed his appreciation for the determined and successful work in the fight against corruption and organized crime.
He emphasized that this work does not only benefit the citizens of Albania: Strengthening the rule of law as well as the fight against corruption and organized crime are also crucial criteria for Albania’s EU integration.”
“SPAK and other justice institutions have our full support in carrying out their difficult task. Attacks on the independence of the judiciary are unacceptable, regardless of which side they come from,” he underlined.
