TIRANA, Nov 1 /ATA/ On Wednesday, the opposition also blocked the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Economy and Finance, which was scheduled to listen to the presentation of the draft budget 2024 and the Fiscal Package at 15:00 hrs.
The meeting will be held online at 16:00hrs.
Earlier today, the Conference of Whips was blocked for 3 hours. During the conference of whips, Minister of Finance and Economy Ervin Mete was set to present the draft budget.
The meeting scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday was held at 1:00 p.m.
The opposition is trying to impede parliamentary activity claiming that the majority has destroyed every public space, dropped its demands for parliamentary investigative commissions, or did not accept the request for changing the members of the special electoral reform commission.
The chairman of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, in a media statement, after the confrontation with the Parliament Speaker Lindita Nikolla in the Presidency of the Assembly, said that they will not allow the majority to hold meetings as long as it ignores the demands of the opposition.
