TIRANA, Oct 30 /ATA/ In the third quarter of this year, 2,476,244 passengers traveled by airline.
The Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) published on Monday the report on air transport which says that compared to the same period of 2022, the number of passengers who traveled through Rinas has increased by 32.8%.
Meanwhile, the volume of incoming and outgoing goods (including mail) through air transport was 490.5 tons, of which 73.8% are incoming goods and 26.2% are outgoing goods. Compared to the third quarter of 2022, the volume of goods has seen a decrease of 1.4%.
Referring to the data, during the third quarter of 2023, 112,850 planes flew in the Albanian airspace.
The number of overpasses in Albanian airspace was 96,490, increasing by 17.4%, compared to the third quarter of 2022.
21 airlines operate in air transport, of which 19 are foreign companies and 2 are Albanian companies.
