TIRANA, October 13/ATA/ Minister of the Interior Taulant Balla appreciated the self-cleaning-up process of the State Police organization as very important in raising the level of the rule of law.
According to him, in the last 48 hours, 8 police officers have been prosecuted, as part of the self-cleaning-up process.
“The attack on criminal gangs continues intensively, but also the process of self-cleaning-up of the State Police. In the last 48 hours alone, 8 police officers have been criminally prosecuted, for “turning a blind eye” or even worse, collaborating with criminals. Strengthening the cooperation between the State Police, the Prosecutor’s Office, SPAK, the Information Service and the joint fight to clean up the hotbeds of crime in front of and within the State Police organization itself, will take Albania to another level of the rule of law,” stressed Balla. /p.s./
