TIRANA, August 30/ATA/ The wildfire that broke out yesterday afternoon in the village of Ndershenë, in Lura administrative unit, in the municipality of Dibra, is almost being extinguished.
Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi said that thanks to the immediate intervention from the air and intensive efforts from the ground, the fires have already been isolated and the teams of firefighters are very close to the final extinguishing of the wildfire that started yesterday afternoon.
The working teams have been engaged since the early hours of this morning to extinguish the last active outbreaks and keep the whole situation under monitoring, Peleshi emphasized.
He expressed his gratitude to every soldier of the Armed Forces and employee of local structures who worked to protect the Lura National Park.
During the last 24 hours, there have been extinguished 6 fires in different areas of the country. /p.s./
